  1. Theoretical - Hypothetical; existing only in principle; not practical (adjective)
    Root THEOR = behold, contemplate
  2. Morose - Sullenly ill-humored (person); expressing gloom; glum (adjective)
    Root MOR = self-will, manner
  3. Ostentatious - Characterized by a pretentious show in order to impress (adjective)
    Root OSTENS = show, appear
  4. Precocious - Unusually advanced or mature development or talent (adjective)
    root is COQUERE = cook, boil
  5. Prevaricate - To speak falsely or misleadingly so as to avoid the truth; to lie (verb)
    Root VARIC = straddling, diverging
  6. Candid - Frank or outspoken; free from reservation or disguise (adjective)
    Root CAND = bright, white, clear
  7. Novice - A beginner; person who is new to a work place or situation (noun)
    Root NOV = new
  8. Querulous - Carping; characterized by or full of complaints (adjective)
